Aces forward Forsythe recognized

CHARLOTTETOWN – Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces’ rookie Brandon Forsythe and Derian Vessey of the Sherwood-Parkdale Metros have been named the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League players of the week.
Forsythe scored the winning goal in a 4-2 victory over the Southside Lynx last weekend, and scored two other goals in a 7-5 win versus the North River Flames.
Vessey is off to a great start in his fourth and final season with the Metros. His role has been shutting down the offensive threats from other teams, and he’s been a key contributor defensively, especially on the penalty kill.
Vessey also contributed offensively last week, recording one goal and four assists for five points in two games.
