The Spartans, who are 5-0 (won-lost), registered a 40-6 road win over the Kings County Steelers in a game that was much closer than the final score indicates.
Running back Caleb Dawson scored three touchdowns – two rushing and one receiving – to lead the Spartans, who led 16-6 at halftime. Cameron Wall added a rushing major and a 50-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Charlie DesRoches.
The Spartans’ defence had another strong showing, limiting the Steelers (1-3) to only one touchdown while creating three turnovers.
The Spartans have a bye this week, and return to action at Eric Johnston Field against the Cumberland County Wolfpack from Amherst, N.S., on Friday, Oct. 16.
