The local experts across P.E.I. have made their Super Bowl LII picks, and 18 have chosen the Patriots while 13 have the Eagles.
Here they are:

Owen Turner – Pats’ experience in the big game is too much. Late game-winning drive by Brady sends the Eagles flying back to Philly in disappointment –just like the last five decades. Pats, 27-20.

Jason Cameron - It’s time for the NFL to write a different script. Philly, 27-24.

Don Barlow - Philly was the better team all year, and this game will be no different. Eagles, 35-28.

Dana Betts - Eagles 24-17 as the Philly D will pressure with four and get a push up the middle making it uncomfortable for Brady. Nick Foles will make enough plays to win!

Tom Schurman - Brady picks the Eagles apart to show why he’s the GOAT. Being behind most of the game, Foles will have to throw too much and will have at least two picks. Gronk has a monster game. Pats, 30-17.

Rob Connell - I don’t want them to win, but New England will. This could be the end of the dynasty, however. They are just winners, and know how to win no matter the situation. Pats, 24-17.

Brian Doucet - Eagles finally get their first Super Bowl victory, 31-28.

Brian Goguen - This game will be the changing of the guard. Brady passing the torch to the next GOAT, Nick Foles, as the Eagles pull it out . . . ha, ha. Who am I kidding? Pats win another, 31-27.

Carolyn Rowe-Turner - I know I’m not supposed to cheer for a Giants’ rival. but I love the underdog story. Fly Eagles fly. Philly wins, 24-23.

Chuck Kitts - Patriots win as I just do not think you can beat a team like them when they have two weeks to plan for you.

Jamie MacKenzie - Philly’s D line takes over in the second half. Eagles win, 27-24.

Adam Binkley - Eagles win so Brian Westbrook can bring the Super Bowl to the Novus celebrity golf tournament July 15 to 17 in Summerside. Eagles, 31-18.

Paul Power - Tom Brady and the Patriots won’t be denied. Brady gets his stitches out in time to throw four TDs and become the first player in history to win six rings. Eagles just can’t match the Patriots’ potent offence. Brady is the MVP as they win 38-10.

Charlie Turner - The Patriots 27-20 as they will be too much for the Eagles to handle. Philly will be one of many victims to be “Bradied.”

Ken Blood - Eagles win 29-27 because nobody wants the Patriots to win another Super Bowl.

Jeff (Poochie) MacDonald - Gotta go Pats. I went against them the last two times, and if not for poor play calling it would have been Seahawks and Falcons. I can’t go against them a third time.

Jason Ahern - Pats in a nail-biter. 27-24. Patriots always have close games in the Super Bowl, and this one is no different. Gronk is the game changer!

Robert St. Pierre - Eagles win because defence wins championships. The Philly defence has depth and can throw constant pressure against the Pats offence. Brady will not be able to escape the pressure.

Jamie Matheson - Pats 24-21 as Tom Brady comes out on top yet again in another exciting Super Bowl.

Logan O’Brien - Patriots 17-10 as Brady has another fourth-quarter game-winning drive.

Finn Turner - Pats win 28-24 as Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett combine for two touchdowns and 170 yards. Nick Foles fumbles on the game-winning drive to seal it for the Pats.

Connor Loerick - Rolling with the Eagles, don’t call them underdogs. Defence wins championships. Eagles, 21-17.

Logan Plant - I think the Eagles win. They had an amazing season, and have a great defence and their running back Jay Ajayi is a big threat. If they can play good defence and shut down Brady’s passing, it could be an easy Super Bowl victory for them. Eagles win, 34-21.

Paul Walsh - Two words . . . Tom Brady. Pats, 23-21.

Paul Quinlan - As a longtime Bills’ fan, I’m used to rooting for the underdog. Even though Brady is the ultimate offensive weapon, I’m rooting for the Eagles’ defence to play all four quarters and corral the Pats and Brady to a modest 20 points. Especially after the Eagles’ defence powerful performance choking out the Vikings. Eagles finally win one, 24-20.

Mark Reid - The Pats played the Super Bowl against the Jags two weeks ago. New England wins another Super Bowl under the direction of TB12, and the coaching staff under Belichick. Pats win, 33-27, in another thrilling Super Bowl.

Sean Fraser - The Philadelphia Eagles are undoubtedly loaded with talent, but without Wentz at the helm. I’m going with the best coach in the NFL taking this one. Pats win, 28-24.

Mark Green - Pats win, 31-27. The first half will be a back-and-forth battle, but knowing how the Patriots are the best team at making adjustments will give them the edge in the second half. Both teams have a chance with their tremendous players, but I give the edge to Belichick and Brady. One for the experience they have, and second for the history books. They are chasing more than just one more ring.

Chris MacDougall - Eagles get pressure with only their front four rotation and disrupt Brady and allow the secondary to hold up. On offence, they run the rock and Foles does just enough on play action and RPOs. Eagles win, 23-20, and Fletcher Cox is MVP.

Dave Chisholm - Pats 31-18 as Brady and Belichick are simply Brady and Belichick.  The GOATS roll back home for another tour on the duck boats.  Dion Lewis and the defense come up big and thanks again to Matty P and Josh!

Darcy Ellis - New England wins, 30-27, as it’s tough to bet against Belichick and Brady. However, I’ve never wanted to be wrong more in my life.
