Atom Spartans play nail-biter

SUMMERSIDE – The two Summerside Cox and Palmer Spartans’ atom tackle football teams met in a nail-biter on Saturday.

In the end, the Green Spartans edged out the White Spartans 8-6. Connor Blood scored the lone touchdown for the Green Spartans, and Landon MacKinnon had the major for the White Spartans.

There have been three games played to date, including the Green Spartans defeating the White Spartans 41-0 in the first game of the year.

 

This week

Both Summerside teams visit the Cornwall Timberwolves at the Terry Fox Sports Complex this week. The White Spartans make the trip on Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. start, and the Green Spartans play on Saturday at 11 a.m.
