CHARLOTTETOWN – The Kensington Crusaders have moved into first place in the Volleyball P.E.I. 18-Under Girls Spring League.

 

The Crusaders posted a 4-1 (won-lost) record, with their only loss to the Charlottetown Colonels Gray team, en route to winning this week’s Tier 1 title. The 12-team event featured two tiers.
Three teams were tied 3-2, but after tiebreakers the Charlottetown Colonels White team ended up in second place, the Rural Team One Raiders were third and the Colonel Gray was fourth to keep these teams in the Tier 1 Division for the league’s final tournament.
The Rural Raiders and Summerside Team One Suns will be moving to the Tier 2 Division after placing fifth and sixth.

Tier 2
In Tier 2 play, the Summerside Team Two Suns and Red Mudd team compiled 4-1 records to move into Tier 1 play for the next tournament. The Evangeline Coyotes (3-2) captured third place, and the Kinkora Blazers (2-3), West Prince Islanders (2-3) and Red Mudd Black (0-5) rounded out the standings.
