CHARLOTTETOWN – Tobinator teamed up with Corey MacPherson to slice Three Truths’s win streak short at three races at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Tobinator went to front in the $2,350 Thursday night feature Preferred 2 class, and cut out fractions of 28.1, 57.1 and 1:26.1, before closing the mile out in 1:54.4. Corey MacPherson engineered the winning trip for trainer Trevor Hicken and owner William Hicken of Vernon Bridge.
Rockin Indy (driven by Jason Hughes) was second while Three Truths (Kenny Arsenault) had his winning streak cut short at three while finishing third and completing the $164.70 triactor.
Frill Seeker captured the $1,950 open trot at 8-1 odds with Arsenault at the lines for the 2:00.2 victory for owner Ebbsfleet Stable of Stratford, Ont. Second went to Majian Tango (Jim Ripley) while Glencove Carter (Steven Shepherd) was third.
