MONCTON, N.B. – Terry Thomas had 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Moncton Magic to a 115-100 victory over the Island Storm Sunday in National Basketball League of Canada action.

Jason Calliste added 25 points off the bench on 8-of-9 shooting for the host Magic while Al Stewart had 15 points and eight assists and Corey scored 12 points. Anthony Anderson and Jeremy Williams each added 10.

Franklin Session had 25 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Storm while Tyler Scott had 18 points off the bench.

Du’Vaughn Maxwell had 17 points, nine rebounds, six blocks, four assists and four steals to fill the stat sheet. Jarion Henry had 13 points and 11 boards while Chris Johnson scored 14 points.

The Storm shot 36 per cent (38-for-105) from the field, 28 per cent (7-for-25) from three-point territory and 50 per cent (17-for-34) from the free-throw line.

The Magic held quarter leads of 34-25, 66-48 and 91-71.

Moncton improved to 16-12 while the Storm lost their fourth straight to fall to 10-15. Storm hosts the Cape Breton Highlanders (10-15) Thursday at 7 p.m.
