Prince Edward Island defeated New Brunswick 9-2 and loss 4-1 to Nova Scotia and sit 1-2 after two days of action.

Logan MacDougall was 2-for-4 with two runs scored to pace the Island’s offence in the win. Chandler Laporte, Patrick Young, Connor Jones, Ben MacDougall and Noah Duckworth each chipped in a hit.

Ben MacDougall went 4 2/3 innings for the victory. He allowed two runs on seven hits while walking six and striking out four. Nathan Jones walked two in 2 1/3 innings in relief.

Jones took the loss against Nova Scotia, allowing four runs on eight hits. He walked four and struck out two. Garrett Peterson struck out four for the win.

Ben MacDougall had a pair of singles while Duckworth contributed a triple. Laporte had a sacrifice fly.

They play the host Manitoba squad tonight at 9 p.m. Atlantic.
