Summerside baseball season swings into action

It was pure baseball pleasure as the Chevy baseball season kicked off Saturday under the warm sun.

Young players got to bat and field in front of their proud families at Queen Elizabeth Park in Summerside.

Opening day activities included a bouncy castle, provided by Sport Tourism Summerside, a free barbecue at the Credit Union Place, legends ceremony and draw for prizes.

The Summerside Area Baseball Association (SABA) had teams from around the Island come and play all afternoon in the Park.
