PRINCE ALBERT, SASK. – Canada completed the preliminary round undefeated by blasting Hong Kong 10-0 in four innings Thursday night at the World Baseball Softball Confederation junior men’s softball world championship in Prince Albert, Sask.

Tignish’s Dawson Sellick had a pinch-hit two-run home run in the fourth in the win. Isaac Lefebvre, Mackenzie Fischer and Troy Kosmynka each drove in a pair of runs.

Fischer threw a one-hitter while striking out eight for the victory.

Canada, which finished atop the B pool with a 5-0 record, plays Australia (5-1) tonight at 11 p.m. Atlantic in a double-life game.

Dock resident Jeff Ellsworth is the head coach while Mark Quinn of Cardigan is one of his assistants.
