Brady Arsenault of Summerside, Colin Arsenault of Summerside and Grant Grady of Freetown all made significant contributions as the Hurricanes opened the 2015 Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association’s Atlantic Conference schedule with four wins in New Brunswick.
Saturday, the Hurricanes swept a doubleheader from the Crandall Chargers 16-1 and 15-5.
Sunday, Holland College defeated UNB in a rematch of last year’s Atlantic Conference championship by 10-2 and 14-3.
The Hurricanes are back on the road this weekend visiting the Saint Mary’s Huskies on Saturday and the Acadia Axemen on Sunday. The Hurricanes’ home opener is against the St. Francis Xavier X-Men at Memorial Field in Charlottetown on Sept. 26.

In Moncton, N.B., Brady Arsenault picked up the pitching win, and was named the Subway Hurricanes’ player of the game.
The Hurricanes built a 9-1 lead after six innings, and then scored seven runs in the top of the seventh.

Colin Arsenault picked up the pitching win, and Grady was chosen as the Hurricanes’ player of the game.
This game was closer than the score would indicate as the Hurricanes took a 6-5 lead into the seventh inning, when the bats exploded for nine runs.

In Fredericton, N.B., Spencer Horne pitched 6 1/3 innings to earn the pitching win and collect the Hurricanes’ player-of-the-game award.
Hurricanes 14 UNB 3
Holland College starter Glen Harvie was staked to a 2-0 lead before he threw a pitch. The Hurricanes then blew the game open with an eight-run second inning.
Jonathan Arsenault was named the Hurricanes’ player of the game.
