Today, the third-place Islanders (7-7) host the Fredericton Royals (5-8) at Memorial Field for a doubleheader beginning at noon. The Islanders will be looking to avenge a sweep at the hands of the Royals in New Brunswick’s capital two weeks ago.

Johnny Arsenault will get the ball in Game 1 for P.E.I.
On Sunday, P.E.I. travels to Chatham (6-5) to take on the second-place Ironmen in a doubleheader starting at noon. Porter Smith will start Game 1. Chandler LaPorte, Nolan Hicken, Josh Myers are all expected to see action on the mound for the Islanders on the weekend.
Islander catcher Chasse Gallant has taken over the league lead in batting and also paces the circuit in walks and on-base percentage. The Islanders have also been getting big offence from Kyle Pinksen, Patrick Gallant and Myers. The lineup got a boost with the recent return of Riley Gallant, the Kensington native and reigning league batting champ.
