SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Team One Chevys continued to roll along in the P.E.I. Peewee A Baseball League on Wednesday night.
The Chevys extended their winning streak to four games as they edged the Sherwood-Parkdale Knights 2-1 in a very exciting defensive-oriented game at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Very Important Volunteer Field.
After Spencer Perry (2-2, walk, double) reached second base, Alex Day (1-3, double) drove him home with the winning run. Camdyn Day (1-2, double) also had a key hit for the Chevys.
Charles Audet (1-2) and Taylor Thompson (1-3) were Sherwood-Parkdale’s top batters.
Denver Arsenault picked up the pitching win, and Nathan Silliphant was the pitcher of record for Sherwood-Parkdale.
