N.S. girls outlast P.E.I. at 16U baseball nationals

VAUGHAN, Ont. – There was no shortage of offence in P.E.I.’s game at the 2017 Canadian 16-under female baseball championship on Friday.

The Island representative and Nova Scotia combined to score 31 runs. The final score was Nova Scotia 21, P.E.I. 10.
Isabelle Ladoucer (3-3, two runs driven in), Hannah LeClair (2-3, three runs scored, RBI), Tessa Hood (2-3, two runs scored) and Mariah Crowley (2-3, three runs scored, RBI) were P.E.I.’s top hitters.
P.E.I., which defeated Newfoundland and Labrador 22-10 on Thursday, concludes its round-robin schedule against Ontario and Alberta on Saturday.
