SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Chevys scored seven runs in the sixth inning to blow open a tight game en route to an 11-5 win over the Cornwall Cougars. 
The  P.E.I. Midget A Baseball League game took place at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Legends Field recently.
Jonah Gallant and Nick Blanchard both swung hot bats to lead the Chevys’ offence. Gallant had a 2-for-3 summary, with two runs scored and a run batted in, while Blanchard went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Logan Yeo (1-1, double, run batted in) was Summerside's other top batter.
Connor Hennessey (2-3, double, two runs scored, two runs batted in), Korby Scott (2-3) Ethan MacLean (2-2, double, run batted in) led the Cougars at the plate.
Cameron Murray struck out eight batters in the final three innings to earn the win in relief of Gallant, who struck out eight batters through four innings. Scott took the loss for Cornwall.
