Midget AA Chevys sweep doubleheader

SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Chevys’ midget AA baseball team swept a doubleheader from the P.E.I. Under-15 Selects at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Legends Field recently.
The Chevys prevailed 8-7 in the opener, and took the nightcap 12-2.

Ben MacDougall (2-4, double), Brett Caissie (2-4), Kalib Snow (1-2, two walks) and Cameron MacAuley (1-3, double, walk) were the top hitters for Summerside.
Garrett Culleton (2-3, walk), Jack Sherren (1-2) and Carson MacKay (1-2) were tops at the plate for the Selects.
Parker Gallant earned the pitching win over Culleton.

Dakota MacPhee was the winning pitcher, and Sherren was tagged with the loss.
Top batters for the Chevys were NIc Gunning (2-3), Brett Martin (2-3) and Dylan Thomas (2-4, two doubles).
Culleton (1-3, double), Caden Doyle (1-2) and Owen Lynch (1-2) sparked the Selects offensively.
