MONCTON, N.B. – The P.E.I. Islanders’ last two games of the season were rained out in Moncton on Sunday.

P.E.I. made the trip, but a short heavy downpour made the field unplayable. The two games versus the first-place Metro Mudcats will not be made up, and the Islanders complete the regular season in third place with a record of 11-11 (won-lost).
The Islanders will take on the Chatham Ironmen in a best-of-five semifinal series that is set to begin next weekend in Chatham, N.B. The full schedule for the series will be announced this week.
