Junior Islanders off to nationals


CHARLOTTETOWN – Although the P.E.I Junior Islanders lost in the New Brunswick Junior Baseball League semifinals, the Island squad still has some ball to play.

This week, the Islanders buckle up the under-21 nationals in Gatineau, Que., and Ottawa, Ont.
The Islanders kick off play versus Nova Scotia on Thursday at 4 p.m. Atlantic time, then play another round robin game Friday against St. Thomas, Ont. (9:30 a.m.)
That’s followed by games Saturday against Saskatchewan (9 a.m.) and Quebec (3 p.m.).
