Islanders lose Game 3 in Chatham

The P.E.I. Junior Islanders defeated the Chatham Ironmen 4-1 Monday to tie their best-of-five New Brunswick Junior Baseball League semifinal at one game apiece.

CHATHAM, N.B. – The P.E.I. Junior Islanders are on the brink of elimination.

The host Chatham Ironmen defeated the Isles 6-3 Wednesday to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five New Brunswick Junior Baseball League semifinal. P.E.I. held a 3-1 lead in the fifth, but couldn't hold it. Josh Myers hit a home run for the visitors. More details are unavailable at this point.

The Isles had a short bench and were missing some key players.

Game 4 goes Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Field.
