CHARLOTTETOWN – A strong pitching performance by Justin Day keyed the Summerside Chevys’ 7-1 road win over the Sherwood Knights in a P.E.I. Midget A Baseball League game at Memorial Field recently.

Day struck out 10 in 6 1/3 innings en route to earning the pitching win. Cameron Murray came on in relief for Summerside, and Zach MacNeill took the loss.
Mark MacCormack (1-1 two runs scored, run batted in), Brenden Wilson (1-1, run scored, two runs batted in) and Day (1-3, run batted in) were Summerside’s top hitters.
Colin Blanchard (2-2, run scored) and JD Clark (1-2) led the Knights at the plate.
