Baseball Hurricanes off to final

CHARLOTTETOWN – The Holland Hurricanes will play for the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association’s (CCBA) Atlantic Conference championship.

The Hurricanes won 12-1 and 12-2 at Memorial Field on Saturday to sweep the Saint Mary’s Huskies in a best-of-three semifinal series. The Hurricanes will face UNB in the final, with the first two games in the best-of-three series scheduled for Memorial Field on Saturday at 1 and 3:30 p.m.

Arsenault strong

Brady Arsenault allowed just three hits and one earned run while striking out five in earning the pitching win for the Hurricanes in Game 1 against Saint Mary’s. Jay Oram and Kyle Donahue each drove in two runs.

Noonan hot

In Game 2, Jed Noonan drove in four runs to lead the Hurricanes offensively. Dillon Doucette plated three runs, and Jesse Holman had two RBIs.
