POWNAL – Donovan Arsenault’s four-point effort led the way for the Prince County Warriors.
Arsenault had two goals and two assists in the Warriors’ 9-4 road victory over the Eastern Express at the Pownal Sports Centre on Thursday night. The Warriors held period leads of 1-0 and 4-3 in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League game, before scoring five times in the final frame to put the game out of reach.
Liam Green (2), Jesse Blanchard (1-2), Garrett Culleton (1-1), Sam Hackett, Carson Wood and Max Chishom also scored for the O’Leary-based Warriors, who improved to 6-4-2 (won-lost-tied). Zach Biggar (3), Mike McRae (2) and Frederick Morency added assists.
Carson Lund (2), Gabe Hartlen (1-1) and Cole McKeigan (1-1) answered for the Express (5-7-2). Avery Brown, Gavin Mason, Jack Campbell and Lance Kennedy added assists.
Turner Ellis earned the goaltending win.
