Potato Blossom Golf Tournament Saturday, Sunday

WOODSTOCK-- Close to 90 golfers are registered for the Potato Blossom golf tournament this weekend at Mill River Provincial Golf Course.

The two-day stroke play tournament gets underway Saturday morning.

The Potato Blossom is the last tournament before the Island Open.

Potato Blossom 2013 champion, Scott Morton from Belvedere, currently in second place in the Order of Merit series, will be back to defend his title. Tim Yorke, who finished second to Morton last year and is currently leading the 2014 Order of Merit, is also entered in the tournament.

Special attractions in this tournament is a $10,000 hole in one prize, sponsored by Hiscock’s Physiotherapy, for any tournament player who fires a hole-in-one on Number 11 on Saturday, and a $25,000 car prize, sponsored by Markan West Flooring, for any tournament player who aces Number 11 on Sunday.
