The accident occurred just after 5 p.m. in front of Johnny’s Dairy Bar.

A vehicle had pulled out onto the road into traffic, forcing another vehicle off the highway and into the ditch.

Kensington fire department was first on scene, responding with three vehicles and 20, maintaining the scene until police arrived.

Kensington police also responded and laid a charge against the driver of one of the vehicles for driving while suspended and leaving the scene of an accident.

Chief Lewie Sutherland said there were no injuries in the accident and that damage to the vehicle that went into the ditch was minimal.
