Two vehicles collide on Water Street

SUMMERSIDE - One person was taken to hospital for observation following a rear end collision on Water Street in Summerside, Thursday afternoon.

A Chevrolet Impala sustained substantial damage to the front end after colliding with the rear of a Chevrolet Uplander van on Water Street, Thursday afternoon. One of the occupants in the Impala was taken to hospital for observation. 

A Chevrolet Uplander van was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Impala LS.

Police said one of the two occupants of the Impala was shaken in the accident and was taken by Island EMS Ambulance Services to Prince County Hospital for observation.

The lone driver of the van was uninjured.

The accident is still under investigation.
