The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Aces have won two of their last three games, and trail second-place Belfast by two points as the regular season is beginning to wind down.

The Aces are coming off a huge win in Summerside on Tuesday, which gave them a four-point lead over the Capitals. Meanwhile, the Hawks are hoping for their first win of 2014.

Aces coach Mike O’Halloran is proud of the way his team has been playing recently, especially with many regulars missing the past few games.

The Aces expect to have goaltender Jake Hackett and sniper Slade Handrahan back in the lineup this weekend, and O’Halloran hopes to add affiliated players Richard Breen and Dillon Carragher from the Tignish midget team.

O’Halloran also praised the play of goaltender Chase Dyment, noting his outstanding play of late and consistency all season.

Aces defenceman Tyler Howard received the Regal Cresting player of the game in the Aces’ 4-3 win over North River on Jan. 10 after playing a strong defensive game.
