An informed choice

Before a doctor can preform an abortion, he or she should be required to give the pregnant woman important information in writing and explain it to her if necessary.

This would include illustrations showing the stages of the baby's development; detailed information as to how the operation is to be preformed; and information concerning what help is available to women who decide to let their the baby live, including what steps and resources are available for adoption. The women should also be required to state in writing that she has received and understood the information. And there should be a 24 hour waiting period for her to think it over. I believe if this was done, many women would change their mind, and many babies would be saved.
