Gerard "Turk" Gallant, Mike Kelly, players, management and the fans, have accomplished an amazing first NHL record for a franchise team. The community of Kinkora and the City of Summerside, have ample opportunity to have a great celebration for all these individuals. Turk Gallant has never forgotten where he come from; yes, Park Street in the west end of Summerside.
He played hard as a kid throughout hockey, in all levels prior to the NHL. To have Turk and Mike, both from relatively close areas, bring the Vegas Golden Knights to this level, took hard work, dedication, and commitment. This is an extreme honour. Hold on, it’s not over yet.
My prediction: Golden Knights will win the Stanley Cup.
