I think Canada’s Paralympic sledge hockey team did an excellent job scoring huge points against the other teams at the recent Paralympic Games in Korea. I know they didn’t win the gold medal but there’s always another year. I would like to congratulate them on the great job and well done.
I can just imagine how proud Billy Bridges’ parents, Charles and Mary, are of their son’s accomplishments.
I sure hope the City of Summerside has a special day for the team – if not for Billy only.
I wrote a letter to mayor Bill Martin and council asking for the city to name a street after Billy.
I think this would be a nice gesture. Heather Moyse has one named after her so why not Billy? He’s a hometown guy.
Thank you Billy and teammates for a great job.
Elma Noye,
Summerside
