Further, three new councillors elected in that city are women under the age of 36. One of which will be the deputy mayor. They did in fact beat out some senior councillors. This is great news for municipal politics.
This shows women have, and should always have, equal opportunities to run in municipal, provincial or federal government election. This is the real change the City of Summerside needs.
