Peacefully with family at his side, at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Sunday July 22, 2018 Raybourne (Ray) McCarville of Kensington and formerly of Freetown in his 90th year. Born in Summerside, August 12, 1928 son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth (Cash) McCarville. Husband of the late Lorena (Rena) (Arsenault) McCarville. Father of Marlene (Alain) Boily, Long River; Kenny (Mary Ellen) McCarville, Emerald and Gloria (Allan) McNeill, Kensington. Grandfather of Frederic Boily (Patricia), Buffie Boily (Sib), Amy Ching (Phil), Joe McCarville (Anna), Heather Woodside (Hilbert) and Shane MacLennan (Katherine) and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of Gerald (Jennie) McCarville, Clinton and Kathleen (late Roy) Stewart, Brackley. Brother-in-law of Yvonne MacDonald (late Bernie), Summerside; Gerald (Bunnie) Arsenault, Summerside; David (Ruth) Arsenault, Saint John; Peggy Arsenault, Truro and Jean (Adrian) Arsenault, Ottawa. Predeceased by his loving grandson Adam MacLennan, son-in-law Barry MacLennan, brother Charles McCarville, brothers-in-law George (Jennifer) Arsenault, Wilfred Arsenault, Ellery Arsenault and Ralph MacDonald, sisters-in-law Helen (Gordon) Carson, Clara (Jim) Brown, Eunice Devney, Zelma (Frank) Doucette, Austina MacDonald and Louise (Henry) Perry. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Tuesday from 6:30-9 p.m. Funeral mass Wednesday at St. James Church Summerfield at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
