1921-2018 The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Monday, April 30, 2018, with her loving family by her side, of Marion Jessie Buote, of Tignish, age 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Jerry Buote, who predeceased her in 1984. Born at Kildare Capes on February 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William and Amanda (nee Rayner) Getson. Loving mother to Joan (Eric) Steele of Pickering, Ont., Bruce (late Diane) Buote of Tignish, Linda Buote of Summerside, Kenny (Trudy) Buote of Tignish, Gerald (Shirley) Buote of Tignish, Mary (Wayne) Gavin of Tignish, Annie (Paul) Omelon of Cobourg, Ont, Eleanor Buote of Tignish, and David (Kelly) Buote of Kildare Capes. She will be sadly missed by her 22 grandchildren, her many great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren. Dear sister to Doris (Frederick) Kacewiez of Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is survived by her nieces, nephews and by a special niece, Florence Buote of Tignish. She was predeceased by a daughter Angela at birth, grandchildren Bryan and Katie, brother's Silas, Lloyd & Erskine Getson and sister's Blanche Getson , Edith Sprague (April 28,2018). Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel, Alberton for visiting hours Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Rev.Brendon E. Gallant celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
