Leonce Joseph Gallant

Sherbrooke Road - Leonce Joseph Gallant, age 68, of Sherbrooke Road, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Urbainville, P.E.I., he was a son of the late Alphé and Florence (LeClair) Gallant. He was an employee of Michelin Tire for over 40 years. Leonce was a dedicated husband and father. He was a very kind and thoughtful man and very giving of his time to help anyone in need. He is survived by his wife, Simonne (Poirier); daughter, Denise (Dave); son, Joel (Amanda); fur babies, Morgan and Buddy; brothers and sisters: Leonard (Carol); Hermas (Thelma); Cécile; Louis (Sheila); Gloria (Henri); André (Donna); Marcel (Lise); Charles (Sandra); Jacques (Bernice); Raymond (Wendy); Abel (Gerri); Donald (Monique); Michel; Léona Cameron and Julia (Joey) Mills; mother-in-law, Aline Poirier; brothers and sisters-in-law: Al (Gail); Claudette (Stan); Jean-Paul (Galina); Simon (Lourdes); Martin and Lionel; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel Joseph; father-in-law, Ulric Poirier; niece, Ashley Gallant; brother-in-law, Justin Cameron. Visitation 6-9 pm Thursday, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow, N.S. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Friday, in Evangeline Funeral Home, Wellington, P.E.I. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Eloi Arsenault officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
