John Raymond Avery

August 23,1940 - July 7, 2018 Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Provincial Palliative Care Center, John passed away on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 in his 78th year after a brief, courageous fight with cancer. Survived by his loving nieces and nephews Kelly, Jaiden and Jaxsen of Stratford, P.E.I.; David of Victoria, B.C.; Michael, Elizabeth, Debbie, Robbie, Carol and Barb of Saint John, New Brunswick and Jason of Summerside. John is at peace in the loving arms of all his immediate family including his parents Leo and Lillian Avery and siblings, Hazel Sewell, Freda Gallant, Linda Barlow and David Avery. By request of the family there will be no wake or funeral service. Cremation has been entrusted to Belvedere Funeral Home. Kelly and Liz would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses at Prince County Hospital and the Provincial Palliative Care Center who made John’s last days so peaceful for him.
