Edna M. Ellsworth

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday April 11, 2018 of Edna M. Ellsworth, Garden Home and formerly from Palmer Road aged 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Joseph I. Ellsworth. She was born in Campbellton on June 4, 1918, the daughter of the late Mark and Margaret (O’Meara) O’Halloran. Loving mother to Joseph Jr. Ellsworth (June), Summerside, Mark Ellsworth (Audrey), Palmer Road, Carl Ellsworth (Beverley), Alberton, Velda Doucette (Gerard), Freetown, Marion Noye, Cornwall, Helen May (Reggie), Waterloo, On., Linda Handrahan (Henry Jr.), Charlottetown, Gerard Ellsworth (Sylvia), Palmer Road, Karen MacMillan (Ron), Stratford and Shawn Ellsworth (Stacey), Maine, US. Cherished grandmother to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by son-in-law Freddie Bernard, Tignish. She was predeceased by parents Mark and Margaret, daughters Mary, Dorothy, son Ivan, daughter-in-law Bernadette, son-in-law Norman and adopted son Francis and wife Dot Gallant, brothers Gerald, Anse, Mike, sisters Alma, Freda, Lottie, Clottie, Rita and Etta. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Friday 6-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Saturday April 14, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to Church Cemetery Fund or Canadian Diabetes Association or Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Interment later in the church cemetery.
