Clair Gallant

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clair Gallant at the age of 88 years, at his home in Wellington on Saturday June 16, 2018, beloved husband of the late Aline Gallant formerly of Cape Egmont. Born on July 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Jaddus and Béatrice (nee Richard) Gallant. Clair is survived by his loving children, Melva, Hermine (Eric), Edna (Camille), Raymond (Simone), Yvon (Juliette), Paul (Janice), Simon (Paulette), Léonce (Suzanne), Michel (Georges) and his special friend Rose. He will be forever remembered by his sister Marguerite (deceased Joseph) and brother Faustin (Evelyn). Clair is survived by his grandchildren Shane, Randy, Chris, Kim, Colleen, Serena, Stephen, Greg, Tammy, Jessica, Troy, Melinda, Jason, Mitchell, Caitlynn, Laura, Katelynd and numerous great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, his daughter Corinne (Norman) and two grandchildren, Chandler and Tyson. Resting at the Evangeline Coop Funeral Home, Urbainville, for visitation on Wednesday June 20, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mont-Carmel Church, Mont Carmel, on Thursday June 21 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the church parish cemetery. Donations in Clair’s memory would be greatly appreciated and can be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Mont Carmel Church.
