A Prince Edward Island landmark has made Google Street View’s list of the spookiest haunted places in Canada.

Just in time for Halloween – and Friday the 13th - Google Canada is celebrating the country’s haunted landmarks with a roundup of the 10 spookiest locations on Google Street View.

West Point Lighthouse in P.E.I. made the cut at No. 7 on the countdown.

Here’s the entire Google’s top-10 list:

10. Darke Hall, Regina

Built in the late 1920s, Darke Hall has become a historical relic for the performing arts. Today, it's still a go-to place to watch a musical performance but rumour has it that the ghost of Francis Darke, the building's namesake likes to sneak into concerts, take a seat, and vanish when the show is over. Many people who have performed have claimed to spot him while performing, seeing his top hat in his spot every show.

9. The Five Fishermen Restaurant, Halifax

What is now a popular, seafood restaurant was once the city’s first morgue for bodies recovered from two horrifying events — the Halifax explosion and the Titanic. The old embalming room has since been converted to the private dining room. Both employees and guests have reported sounds of footsteps, flickering lights, taps mysteriously turning on, and a woman crying. A little girl has also been seen in the women’s washroom. Diners beware!

8. Capitol Theatre, Moncton

Visitors of the theatre have reported two ghosts who tragically lost their lives at the theatre. A firefighter who died while responding to a 1926 fire when the main stage fell on him has since haunted the theatre from his very own seat. It’s said his presence is felt when there are cool breezes throughout the theatre. He is reported to be the only Moncton firefighter to lose his life in the line of duty to date. It’s rumoured that the ghost of a little girl who died after falling down the stairs can also be seen behind the ticket booth during the evening hours.

7. West Point Lighthouse Inn, P.E.I.

Canada’s first lighthouse inn, this famous site and popular tourist destination is known to be haunted by it’s original keeper, William MacDonald, who is often seen roaming the halls of the inn. Ablaze phantom ships have also been seen at a distance off the coast. Legend has it that one is a pirate ship whose sailors are ill-fated to sail the seas forevermore.

6. The Fort Garry Hotel, Winnipeg

After hearing of the death of her husband in a car accident, it’s said a woman hung herself in the closet of Room 202. She continues to haunt the room while waiting for her husband to return, appearing to guests in a cloak wondering over the end of their bed. Staff claim to have seen blood dripping down the walls of Room 202 as well. Even outside of the room she has been seen crying in the corner of the hotel lobby and some guests have witnessed other ghosts lurking around.

5. Banff Springs Hotel, Banff

Plenty of ghost sightings have been reported by hotel staff and visitors of the Banff Springs Hotel. Most notable, a young bride, who died in the hotel of a broken neck on her wedding day, and a retired bellhop named Sam Macauley, who died just after announcing his retirement. The two are believed to haunt the hotel dressed in a wedding dress and a full uniform, respectively.

4. Chateau Laurier, Ottawa

Business tycoon Charles Melville Hays commissioned the Fairmount Château Laurier, located in downtown Ottawa. However, he never saw the completion, as he died tragically aboard the Titanic just days before the hotel’s grand opening in 1912. It's believed his spirit returned shortly after and has never left. Many hotel employees and guests have reported strange noises and ghost sightings since.

3. Plains of Abraham, Quebec City

Being the location of one of the most famous battles in Canadian history, it’s no wonder there have been numerous sightings of ghostly soldiers appearing throughout the Plains’ fields and tunnels. Reports have also been made of the smell of cannon smoke and other sights and sounds of battle.

2. Keg Mansion House, Toronto

Back when the Keg was Massey Mansion, one of the family’s maids hung herself in the front foyer. Numerous reports have been made by restaurant goers of creepy happenings, including sightings of the maid hanging from a rope at the front entrance, footsteps of children heard on the upper floors, and a haunted presence felt in second floor women’s washroom.

1. Craigdarroch Castle, Victoria, B.C

Craigdarroch Castle stands on a hill overlooking Victoria. Built by Robert Dunsmuir, the wealthiest and most important man in Western Canada at the time, the house was still under construction when he died in 1889. Rumours of paranormal activity have swirled, including a piano that plays by itself, sightings of a ghostly woman in white and objects moving on their own. Enter...if you dare! Street view imagery of Craigdarroch Castle lets you enter the premises and tour around the haunted site for yourself.
