A 32-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man have been arrested and charged as a result of a joint Prince District Joint Forces Operation Unit investigation.
Officers from the unit, which is made up of members of the Kensington Police, Summerside Police and RCMP, recovered a firearm from a vehicle parked at 802 Water Street in Summerside. The man and woman were arrested there.
Police, with a search warrant, searched a related residence later that day. They found methamphetamine, prescription medication, cannabis, illegal drug paraphernalia, contraband cigarettes and cash.
The two people charged will appear in provincial court in Summerside at a later date.
