Ten-year-old Sophie Gallant of Summerside recently donated locks of her hair to the Canadian Cancer Society, but this wasn’t her first donation.
She made her first hair contribution in December 2015 after waiting for her hair to grow long enough. Now, two years later, it was long enough to make another donation.
Darren and Wendy Gallant say their daughter came up with the idea for the hair donation on her own.
“She continues to encourage others to make a donation or another random act of kindness,” adds her mother, Wendy.
