DUNDAS, P.E.I. - RCMP is continuing to investigate a two-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a 45-year-old Stratford area man Sunday night.

The RCMP responded to the crash at 10:15 p.m. at the corner of Route 4 and Cumberland Road in Dundas.

The 45-year-old man was the driver of one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His 53-year-old passenger, also from the Stratford area, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and, as of Monday morning, was still in hospital.

A 17-year-old female from the New Perth area who was driving the second vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries and released Monday morning.

The coroner’s office and the RCMP are continuing their investigation and a traffic analyst was expected to finish his examination of the scene Tuesday morning.

The RCMP said it appears speed may have been a contributing factor in the collision.
