SUMMERSIDE – Two Island men are facing drug trafficking charges after a police joint taskforce executed a traffic stop recently.

On Friday, June 15, the Prince District Joint Force Operations Unit – made up of RCMP, Summerside and Kensington police members – arrested two men, a 33-year-old Charlottetown man and a 49-year-man North Rustico man.

As a result of the stop a quantity of methamphetamine and hydromorphone pills were seized.

The investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
