A 36-year-old man with 15 prior theft and two robbery convictions was sentenced to 30 days in jail for stealing from Canadian Tire in Charlottetown.

Nathan King showed up in court with $95 to pay in restitution sought by the store for two items he stole on Jan. 3.

A judge barred him from the store for the 18-month period of his probation and also ordered him to write a letter of apology to the store owner.
