A 21-year-old man pleaded guilty to threatening his father that he would kill him by putting a knife through his head.

Bradley Holland will be sentenced Feb. 26 for uttering a threat.

According to facts read into court Monday, Holland arrived home extremely intoxicated on Dec. 24 and proceeded to threaten his father, Craig Holland.

Craig told police he felt his son needed medical help. Bradley was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for psychological assessment after making suicidal comments. Bradley’s defence lawyer says the man has had “significant addiction issues’’ since a young age.

The lawyer also noted that Bradley has voiced an interest in mending the relationship with his father.
