CAVENDISH, P.E.I. - There were no injuries after a woman drove her passenger vehicle onto the Sandspit Amusement Park grounds Friday.
The driver got as far as roughly 400 to 500 feet past the maintenance gate she entered through before she was stopped by park employees.
After staff spoke with the woman, the Queens District RCMP were called.
“She continued through the park for a bit and came to a stop, at which point our staff spoke with her and called for assistance because they felt that she perhaps was a little confused as to where she may be,” said Matthew Jelley, president of Sandspit Entertainment Ltd.
There was no damage to the park.
Queens District RCMP said no one could comment on the matter until Tuesday.
