Western Capitals home opener cancelled

The Summerside Western Capitals have cancelled their first home game of the season.

Due to poor ice conditions, the Summerside team posted on facebook around 11 a.m. telling the public the game was postponed until a later date.

Pre-game activities have also been cancelled, with the new home opener scheduled for Saturday Oct. 1, against the Campbellton Tigers.

Details on pre-game activities to come later this week.
