That is higher than the previous record high of 23.9 set in 1963.
All other locations on the Island did not get beyond the record highs of past years for yesterday’s date, but Charlottetown briefly made a stop at 25 around 5 p.m., which is equal to the record for the area, also set in 1963.

Weather-wise, for today, there is a slight risk of thundershower mid afternoon. Until then it will be mostly sunny.

The Confederation Bridge is open to all traffic and flowing smoothly now, but has a warning of possible wind restrictions anytime between 10 p.m. tonight, through to 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.
