Islanders will be getting a slight break from the recent cold snap as temperatures are expected to reach highs around -9 C today.
Environment Canada is forecasting a mainly cloudy day with a 30 per cent chance of flurries this morning.
Winds will be light this afternoon, giving a break from the frigid wind chills of the past few days.
Temperatures overnight will drop to around -15 C.
