Schools across the Island, due to the poor weather conditions, will be closing an hour early.

Students in the Westisle family of schools are already on their way home, with weather conditions in that part of the province worsening, since schools there were closed three hours early than usual.

The Westisle family of schools includes: Westisle Composite High; Alberton, Bloomfield, Ellerslie, O'Leary, St. Louis and Tignish elementary schools; and Hernewood and M.E. Callaghan intermediate schools.

RCMP in western P.E.I. are advising motorists to stay of the roads.

The English Language School Board meeting scheduled for this evening (March 29) has been postponed to April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Summerside Office.
