Travelling public urged to use caution as construction begins around Summerside

SUMMERSIDE

Drivers and members of the travelling public should be aware of impacted traffic flow in various areas around Summerside.

This could include road closures and detours between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. in areas such as:

– Harvard Street (from Granville to Autumn Streets) for paving upgrades

– Arcona Street (from Ottawa to Green Streets) for paving upgrades

– Queen Street (from Water Street to Heather Moyse Drive) for paving upgrades

– Granville Street (from Church to Foundry Streets) for paving upgrades.

In addition, the city’s line painting and marking season has begun and crews will be dispersed throughout the city at various time. There are crews that will also be replacing electric poles and trimming trees.

The public is urged to used caution while travelling follow posted signage and speed limits.

All fines double in construction zones.
