MONTAGUE

A 62-year-old Kings County man is facing impaired driving charges after RCMP picked him up Saturday evening following a tip from a Montague business.

Kings District RCMP received the call at about 8 p.m. Saturday and made an immediate patrol of the area.

Police pulled the driver over and gave him a roadside breath test, which he failed. He was then arrested and taken to the Montague RCMP detachment where he provided samples of his breath, over two and a half times the legal limit.

He has been released from custody and faces impaired driving charges and will appear in Georgetown Provincial Court at a future date.
